Action Plan

At Valicity Care Services Ltd, we are fully committed to ensuring a safe and respectful workplace, free from all forms of sexual harassment. In accordance with the guidelines set out by The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), we have established the following reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment across our organisation.

Our steps to prevent sexual harassment:

  • Establish a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment and ensure it is clearly communicated to all staff during onboarding and training.
  • Establish and communicate Third-party policy
  • Create a positive workplace culture that promotes respect, professionalism, and inclusivity.
  • Encourage open communication where staff feel comfortable discussing concerns without fear of retaliation.
  • Conduct regular staff workshops on workplace respect, gender sensitivity, and anti-harassment policies.
  • Clearly define acceptable and unacceptable workplace behaviours in the staff code of conduct.
  • Establish clear reporting procedures for staff to confidentially report any incidents of harassment.
  • Set up a dedicated HR or safeguarding officer responsible for addressing complaints of sexual harassment.
  • Provide staff with access to emotional support services if they experience harassment from residents.
  • Bring awareness of whistleblowing policy that allows staff to report concerns without having to go through their direct line manager.
